Yeah..i'm finally back!...after mia-ing for so many days...all thanks to the lightning which struck the 'mio' at my hse, resulting in no internet access for the past weekend..=( (but luckily, im away at perhentian.. hahahaha)
well well, the exam on friday sucks.. i cant use the calculator that i brought to the exam hall..resulting in me gotta use 'mental sums'... arghh... aniwae i cant balance the BS also.. dunno where in the hell my brains go... cant complete the paper also... in the end.. i left the exam hall almost 3/4 heart-dead.. tink i have to enter the hall again next year for the same paper... damm...
aniwae rite after that, i rushed hm to meet Bee and did our final packing b4 heading to the bus station @ Lavender for our "Business Class" coach up to perhentian.. 12hrs long ride... the bus is cold..n making matters worse... i have not eaten anything for the entire day.... =( grrr...
after alighting at the jetty to catch the boat to Pulau Perhentian Besar, we finally reached our destination with our half-opened eyes - CocoHut. Everybody seems to noe wad to do next... changed into their swimwear attire... unpacked their bags, grab their gears and the next ting we noe, we were all in the boat to send us off to "Alu Alu Diving centre"- located at the other end of the island.
The Pros started their 1st dive while the Open waters waited there, looking aimlessly..dunno what to do.. haha.... finally we were told to watch a video while waiting for our instructor to be back.. After video one was over, we continued with video two... slowly the zzzz monster started his attack.. and almost all 3 of us watched with our almost shut eyes in the humid afternoon...we continued with our video 3 after lunch and started our 1st confined training in the later part of the afternoon.
1st training was fun!.. haha.. well we do looked farnie with our wetsuits on and stuff... and swimming with that fins on is no joke.. haha.. tough for me!.. i cant balance.. n s a result.. hurt my knee cap n ankle...*pain* we practice scuba diving and swimming b4 we call it a day..
the skies at nite with stars twinkling is fantastic! Great scenery companied with Juan and our earlier jokes of the day... hahah....we were real jokers... *hey! trying to laugh underwater is no joke k... hahhahaha it takes lotsa skills n practise* aniwae we ended the nite early as there's a early morning dive the v.next day...
2nd day started bright and sunny..but me n Bee got no breakfast coz we woke up late.. once we reached alu alu, farok took us straight into introducing our gears and started our lessons with assembling and dissembling our equipments. after we are ready, he took us out to a nearby area for our 2nd practice dive and 1st open dive. i tell u..the fishes really scared the hell outta me when i first saw them!!.. kaoz..i retreat almost immediately when i saw a school of fishes swimming rite in front of my eyes!.. hhaahaa.. Juan couldnt stop laughing becz of this.. as i slowly gt used to it... i begin to enjoy the scenery in front of me...- someting which i dun get to see normally unless except im standing rite in front of an aquarium- blocked by a layer of glass... boy.. im getting real excited as i get to see more marine life...
Back at Alu Alu, farok told us that we were not able to complete our full course due to time constraint- as we were all leaving the very next day afternoon. he suggested that he will certified us as Scuba Divers meanwhile and we were to go back again to complete the entire course to attain the full Open Water Diving. (Difference is SD can only dive up to 12m deep whereas OW can dive up to 18m deep) Though kinda sad by the decision of Farok's, but only he noes best at our standards and progress and what is best for us..so we all agree that we will go back soon to complete our coz (hopefully in sept)..
On our 3rd day, we set off to D Lagoon together with the Pros and took some group fotos underwater (which doesnt turn out clear)..before heading back to Alu to be certified as SD by Farok. haha... now i got my own Log bOok... next time mz learn to draw fishes n marine life.. hahahhaa..oh yar, i got my SD card also!.. hehheee...
V.excited n happy with this entire trip... really opened my eyes to marine life.. - someting which i never though i would like it tt much..haha... but still i got my fears... haahaa... tink i need to gain more water confidence n knowledge with the handling of the equipment first...
Back in Singapore, Bee n me went to our favourite dinner hangout @ Ting Yuan Steamboat.. hahaha we had a great feast! lucky there's seats when we got there as it was full hse! Oh yar and at nite, we watched " Just Follow Law" by Gurmit Singh and Fann Wong. it was a farnie show.. haha...
Overall, really enjoyed my weekend over at perhentian.. though we also must "study" for our Open Water.. haha... the group was fun... my buddy was hilarious.. our instructor was good, the shakes were great!.. yummy!
